Kolkata is the only metro of India which has most the modes of transport widely used by its people.

Metro railway is the face of the modern and disciplined Kolkata. Surprisingly, Kolkata was the first metro to have India’s first underground railway network.
Its faster, dependable, cheaper, zero-pollution, and the most cleaner mode of transport I have seen in Kolkata.
I still recall the announcement inside the coach; ‘

orobotti station Robindro Shodan’!!! After my first journey in this train, I decided to click its picture (which is not allowed once you enter Metro station premises), and somehow I managed to click it when it comes over the ground at Dumdum station. I took this picture from Dumdum’s local railway platform which is adjacent to the Metro station.
